We Are Muffy

While exploring the cover version as a form of folk music uniquely
defined by the era of sound recording, Nick Duffy and Angeline Morrison
fell into a fruitful creative partnership, beginning with their
repurposing of the skiffle classic ‘Don’t You Rock Me Daddy-O’ and
progressing to a suite of songs – The Charcoal Pool – devoted to the
peculiarities of growing up in Birmingham. Into the clear Cornish air
they bring a whiff of the gasworks of Saltley and Nechells, the drone of
traffic on the Gravelly Hill Interchange and a glimmer of the unrivalled

splendour of the Chateau Impney.
