Carolyn Shapiro

Carolyn Shapiro teaches theory and criticism in art, design and literature and believes wholeheartedly in the progressive social benefits of close reading and writing. Her research considers uncanniness, corporation of various sorts (including the Leaky body), performing and otherwise felicitous objects, happy performatives, and mischief. She has been teaching at Falmouth University since 2002 and received a doctorate in Performance Studies from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, in 2004.
